June 2007 – Mexico
Unilever needed a development for points of purchase in Mexico (supermarkets) that would complement its latest advertising campaign.
At the request of Unilever’s agency, Imagine, SIA Interactive created the Flap your Wings Game, in which players had to help the campaign’s friendly chicken to get food.
To play, children had to imitate the way a bird flaps its wings in front of a camera that captured their movements. Participants thus guided the onscreen character in a search for food and for Knorr products.
The game was fully in line with the client’s objective. As children “flapped their wings”, mothers sang the jingle, proving that the consumers had seen the advertisements on TV. On average, 75 players participated each day.

“We hired SIA Interactive to offer our client, Unilever, a solution that was in line with its advertising campaign, allowing consumers to see the same images both on TV and at the points of purchase. SIA Interactive is a company that achieves this type of goal through technology – goals which otherwise would be impossible to achieve.”
