For the past few years, a series of international baseball games have been held in April, May and July in Puerto Rico. The goal of these games is for baseball fans to enjoy watching their favorite teams – including the Montreal Expos, the Mets, the Marlins, the Brews, the Braves and the Giants – live and in person.
Banco Popular is one of the key sponsors of this event. This year, the bank wanted to increase applications for the credit card VISA NOVEL. To this end, Banco Popular called upon SIA Puerto Rico to develop and implement an interactive game to serve as an incentive for people to sign up for the card. The game was offered during 6 days in April, 6 days in May and 10 days in July.
The results far exceeded the client’s expectations. Many people asked those who came with them to sign up for the credit card just to play again. Thus a total of 6,900 players applied for a card: this was an average of 313 players per day (each day consisted of five hours).
