Procter & Gamble - Slot machines

SIA America (subsidiary of SIA Sistemas) and Evenpro inaugurated SIA Puerto Rico in the city of Guaynabo. The latest addition to SIA opens its doors with a promo for mass consumption firm Procter & Gamble. On this occasion, a personalized slot machine was designed for Ace detergent and Downy fabric softener.

October 2003 - San Juan, Puerto Rico.

Procter & Gamble launched a new scent, "Brisa Limpia" ("Fresh Breeze") for products Ace and Downy. To accompany the publicity campaign, an itinerant promotion was held at various Puerto Rican supermarkets. The action took place during three weekends, and participation depended on product consumption.

SIA Puerto Rico developed a slot machine with products from both brands; the game was installed in multimedia kiosks with barcode readers. Promoters inside the supermarket showed shoppers the product and invited the participants to visit the modules located past the line of cash registers. Consumers had to pass the barcode of the Ace and Downy products they had purchased on the barcode reader, and they were ready to play. When activated, the screens show an animation similar to that of Las Vegas slot machines, ending with 3 images. Depending on the combinations obtained, players win different prizes. In this case, the top prize was a shopping cart filled with products.

The promo was a smashing success. At every supermarket it visited, the Ace and Downy products sold out.
