Novembre 2003 - Buenos Aires,
Argentina.
The AO&G 2003, an international business encounter, brought
together more than 200 national and multinational firms. Since
1995, Oil & Gas has become the meeting place for expositors
who display the latest technologies used in the energy industry.
Cameron Argentina offered its visitors the possibility to
participate in a multiplayer rally race, in which two people
competed simultaneously.
For the game, two interactive terminals were installed with
steering wheels, pedals, and the exclusive SIA-MP1 Multiplayer
engine, proprietary development of SIA Sistemas. A 42 inch
screen offered viewers a bird's eye view of the race. A video
with images provided by the client was shown between races,
in order to inform the public about Cameron products.
The game consisted in a timed rally race between two participants.
During the competition, racers had to pick up Cameron logos
to receive more points. The 3-D scenes included graphics from
the different business segments of the firm, and oil wells
with Cameron products were "installed" alongside the race
track. The SIA-MP1 engine allows for group competitions in
which each player can see the position of other participants
on his/her monitor.
"Interactive games have proved to be an excellent resource
to attract visitors to stands at shows and expositions. We
have received an excellent response from visitors, and much
praise for the quality, dynamism, and fun of the game. We
appreciate the job done by SIA Sistemas".
